STARTER: WHERE ARE YOU ON THE TECH TEACHING MOUNTAIN?
INTRODUCTION
Clever use of technology can release our students from the shackles of classroom discipline without causing a riot! Tech can allow students to share questions and inquiry with each other. It can allow peer support networks to develop and provide the teacher with a rich set of feedback indicators that can be used to set future learning objectives.
VINE APP - 6 SECOND QUESTION
Get students to use the Vine App to record a 6 second question after you have shared the lesson objectives. What´s the advantage of this? Well everyone has a voice. Everyone is involved. Even if you can´t share all the questions, they have started the process of thinking about your lesson. In addition, the crowd contribution may provide you with a direction as to where the students want to explore. At the end of the lesson we can return their questions... can we answer them now?Equally, you might have a starter activity where you show a strong image and the students generate questions about it.

Example: History or PSHE Starter - Black American History - Ask a Question About This Image
This freak show of a vine was made in my cold house... it is related to the History lesson starter above. The students make a 6 second film... asking the questions that will hopefully generate the sense of inquiry we are looking for in the classroom.

THE BLOOMING PEACOCK
The Language of Bloom´s Taxonomy in a pretty peacock shape! Seriously... get students (or yourself) to use the peacock´s words to improve the quality of the questions that they (or you) are asking.
